Bally Technology is leading the pack with the best mix of hardware and software. The hardware video mixing solution was years ahead of the competition. I am happy to say I was part of the team that rolled out the first few thousand. Joe Laura was my mentor while working at Caesars Corporate and taught me a lot about the gaming insustry and G2S, S2S and other gaming communication standards specifically the Morse Code patterns for messaging usde by many serial networked casino floors.

Total Rewards Service Window running the IGT NeXGEN
Caesars Entertainment Ins.
Caesars custmer self service window is available on games at Caesars casinos. Customers interact with the touch screen to check their Reward Credits, order beverages, accept interactive offers based on play and download money to the games.
I was contracted by Caesars to convert their existing Flash application based on IGT NexGen platform to run on the Ballys DM platform in March 2010 and the games were deployed to casino properties in September 2010. My role was to identify all messages sent to the games and program the application to allow customers to interact with the Casino Management system and Patron Database. Technologies used included Flash, ActionScript 3, XML, Photoshop andsocket messaging. I was also taked with maintaining and enhancing the existing NexGen application where I rearchitected the beverage maintence process to eliminate several unnecessary steps and make updates easier as well as streamlining transaction processing that resulted in speed improvments cutting the time patrons wait for responses from the back end servers.
